Different Muslims have adopted different means of protesting Danish cartoons depicting the Prophet. Mohammad Sediq Afghan, a professor at the Kabul-based World Philosophical Research Center has found his own way of expressing his love for the Prophet.   He has been on a week-long fast in one park of Kabul to protest both the Danish cartoons and the anti-Quran film by Dutch Geert Wilders. He has stated;   "I will continue to fast until the authors apologize. Others are burning flags and rioting. We don't like this. We want to do things peacefully."

His way has also inspired many others to join in.

"I was visiting from Kunduz (a distant province), when I saw Mr. Afghan's tent," Bashir Ahmad told the American daily.

"I agreed with his message, and I don't think violence is the way to solve this issue. So I decided to join the strike, and I've been here ever since."
