Social platform Salamworld, along with the Organizaiton of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), has rolled up its sleeves in a Billboard design contest created to provide an alternative response by Muslims towards the abuse of the freedom of expression where Islam is concerned.
Salamworld, a newly launched global social platform based on Islamic values, has chosen the slogan of "FROM EMOTIONS TO ACTIONS." The competition is aimed to provide an alternative platform for Muslims to express themselves in a way that is representative of Islam, particularly in the aftermath of the wave of reaction caused the film "Innocence of Muslims."
Participants in this billboard design competition will be expected to compile a poster (design or slogan) or just a design or slogan regarding the freedom of expression and belief in the languages of Turkish, Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Urdu, Malaysian or Indonesian and the billboard will then be translated into the language of the country in which they will be displayed by Salamworld.
The winning designs will be displayed in metropolises such as New York, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, London, Sydney, Paris, Madrid, Rome, Cape Town and Cairo.
